MISSION: "FOX MILL FARM" ANNOUNCEDMission Ministry's local effort to help Fox Mill Farm recover from damage caused by Hurricane Charley.
Fox Mill Farm ¥ Saturday, July 15, 2006 ¥ 8 am til ??  The Missions Ministry at Gulf Gate Church is looking for a few good men and women to join in a local mission at Fox Mill Farm. This mission will begin on Saturday, July 15 and will likely cover a few additional Saturdays this summer (dates to be announced).
Why Fox Mill? Fox Mill Farm is owned by Eldon and Cindy Miller, who foster teenage girls as well as rescue and shelter neglected and abused horses (and a whole host of other animals). Cindy and Eldon care for the girls and teach theÊgirlsÊto care for the animals.Ê They also love the Lord and provide a faith-based, loving home for the girls -- some who stay only for a few days, and some who stay for years.Ê Their door is always open.Ê In fact, they recently took a foster daughter back whose new family "changed their minds" after 3 months. Insurance didn't cover anything near the $9,000 damage they sustained to their barn roof from Charley, so we're organizing an effort to help them get the roof repaired and do some badly needed general clean up.Ê This kind of venture is THE mission of GGC. This local mission gives GGC members the opportunity to get off the sideline and into the game. We are a MISSION-Driven church, that means everyone one of us who follows Jesus is a part of THE Mission...we are His plan.ÊThe Missions Ministry is formed by volunteers on an as needed basis.
