At Gulf Gate Church, we focus on Loving God, Loving People, and Serving the World. Our Sunday service is one way we Love God - through praise and worship, and through learning more about His word. Sunday service alone, however, cannot be our only means of spiritual development, and it cannot fully complete our mission to Love People and Serve the World.
Our Life Groups provide one way to participate in all three parts of our Gulf Gate Church mission. Through Life Groups, we Love God by studying His word deeper, and by growing as His disciples. We Love People through the community that our groups become. Group members grow to know each other and support each other in our Life journey just as much as our spiritual journey. Our groups' members often tell of being helped by or helping those in their Life Group - through house fires, business moves, illnesses, the arrival of new family members, job loss, and other life events. Finally, through Life Groups, we Serve the World. Most Life Groups serve the local and or global community in some capacity - by adopting AIDS children in Africa, serving through Angel's Attic, fundraising for Kids by the Sea, or boxing up care packages for our service men and women overseas.
We hope that you see a Life Group here that interests you, and we encourage you to "test drive" any group at any time! Finding the group that is the right fit for you is important. If you don't see or find a group that appeals to you, please call Wendy Kelly at 321-5095. She will be happy to arrange for the creation of a new group for those interested!
